Summer’s Bounty Continues!

By 9 September 2021

This Saturday marks the 20th anniversary of the Sept 11th attacks.

The Oregon City Farmers Market would like to take a moment to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001 and our hearts go out to the victims and their families.

Here are some ways to honor those who were lost on that tragic day:

Give blood. You can find local blood drives by visiting the American Red Cross website
Donate Blood, Platelets or Plasma. Give Life | Red Cross Blood

Thank our First Responders for their service.

Fly flags at half mast to honor victims.

Attend community events to observe the six moments of silence for each key event of the attacks.

This week we continue to embrace late summer produce as chilly mornings and warm days kick off the month of September.

Sweet plums, lots of tomatoes and peppers, mixed greens, eggplant, fresh garlic and cucumber are in full abundance. Plenty of fresh carrots are available and are super sweet. You can still find Hermiston Watermelons and the last of summer peaches too! The list is endless and we’re grateful to our farms for growing such nutrient dense foods for our community

Berry season will be winding down as we move farther into September so don’t put off purchasing. Don’t forget to preserve or freeze some for those cold winter months.

Make sure to stop by our info booth for resources on safe food preservation, compliments of OSU Extension Services.

Find us from 9-2pm at 2051 Kaen Rd Oregon City (at the corner of Kaen and Beavercreek Roads)

See you Saturday!

It’s that time of year again! Bittersweet Springs is back for the fall and holiday season with plenty of pumpkin varieties grown at their farm in Canby, upcycled garden art and decor from repurposed barn materials plus a beautiful display for family photo backdrops.

Just another sign that fall is on the way!

Many of our vendors are unable to attend market every week due to staffing, product availability and multiple markets on the same day.

Make sure you check out our weekly attending vendor list in the newsletters or via the interactive map on our website Oregon City Summer Saturday Farmers Market 2021 (managemymarket.com) so you can stay updated on which vendors will be here each week.
