By 5 November 2015

2015-Winter-Flyer (1)Wowee do we have a treat for you this winter! Not only is the Winter Market now held in the same location as the summer market…with plenty of close parking, BUT we are bigger and better than ever! This Saturday (November 7th) the market opens with 32 vendors (new and returning) and the following market (November 21st) many more join us!  The Market’s year-round location is 2051, Kaen Rd off Beavercreek Rd. Please note we open one hour later in the winter season , November through April, 10am-2pm, and run every-other Saturday, rain or shine. If in doubt about the weather please call 503 734-0192 or LIKE us on Facebook for up-to-the-minute market news. We’ll be allowing vendors trucks and vehicles into the market site at times, so don’t arrive and think we are packing up….quite the contrary!

Curran with his first crop of tumeric and ginger

On a very sad note, we lost a dear young market friend last month. Curran Zilka loved to cook and grow food and had helped the market for five years, volunteering and sampling market products and cooking with the Kids Cook program last year. Most recently he sold Kiyokawa Orchards fruit at our summer market this year. Curran passed away suddenly at the end of October just a few days after his 22nd birthday and will be dearly missed by his family……and his market family. If you would like to make a small donation towards his funeral expenses we will have a donation box out at the Information Booth.
