New and returning vendors this Saturday!
We’re excited to welcome new and returning vendors this week….57 total! Parsons Farms is back with strawberries and rhubarb, Petal Heads with unusual annuals, Stonewood Rustics and Parts to Art with crafty art in wood and metal, and ….starting for the summer are 3 new vendors.
Joining us for the first time this Saturday is Romero’s Salsa (fresh, locally made and preservative-free), Shine Essentials ( deodorant, vibrational energy sprays, creams & lotions, tooth powder & healing salves organic sun block) and Souper Natural Soups and Pasta Sauces, locally-made from market ingredients, perfect for healthy fast food during the busy week! Try a sample or two this Saturday! http://www.soupernatural.net/
The Market’s POP (Power of Produce) Club for kids is spreading across the US and even to Canada and Australia! It’s free to sign up and each market day the kids get $2 to spend on fresh produce and plants to grow their own food. The KidsCook program is back this summer, every 3rd Saturday of the month. Starting around 9.45am Chef Amy will guide groups of kids (ages 5-12 yrs) this week through simple hands-on steps to make something tasty from market produce (1pm is the last group). A BIG thanks to Clackamas Soil and Water Conservation District for their funding (again) of the POP Club this summer!
We apologise if you have missed the last two market posts, the web site is being refreshed with a new look and hopefully we have it all straightened out now. Let us know how you like the posts and if they are helpful…we’re all ears! You can email the manager with ideas at marketmanager@orcityfarmersmarket.com…and thank you:)
