More Spring at the Market!
Oregon City Farmers Market. Location: 2051, Kaen Rd, off Beavercreek Rd. Dates: Remaining 2015/16 winter market season: Saturdays, 10am-2pm, March 19th, April 2nd, 16th, 30th. (35+ vendors) Starting May 7th we open every Saturday 9am-2pm, through October 29th.(50+ vendors) Call 503 734-0192.
Yup, more Spring this week. More fresh flowers, more plants….even the first Spring Chinook Salmon! More wood crafts, new Distilled Spirits from Thomas and Sons Distillery…and back just in time for the start of gardening season, Sunshine Fertilizer and Utopia Woodcrafters Adirondack chairs!
A big ‘winter’ market with 38 farmers and vendors sellings loads of fresh produce, pastured Organic meats, raw cheddar cheese, farm eggs, wild mushrooms, local honey, Oregon City Wines, preserves and pickles, artisan foods, crusty breads and pastries, hand-made butter-crust pies, soaps and lotions, organic skin care, delicious hot food, great freshly-brewed coffee (and beans)……live music by Mark Seymour!
If you can help us out….we are in dire need of help at 2pm this Saturday packing up the Market (taking down canopies, tables etc and packing them in the Market truck). It takes about an hour at the most ….and we would SO appreciate it! Please call 503 734-0192 and let us know if you can come.
Market Board member, wonderful volunteer for over 8 years and fave market musician’s band is playing at the Wild Hare in Oregon City Saturday night! A good time is guaranteed when Jeff Becker and his band are playing!
Don’t forget if you run out of cash many vendors now accept debit/credit cards or you can purchase Market tokens with your Debit or SNAP card. We have a $10 SNAP Match too! The kids (ages 5-12yrs) receive $2 in market tokens to purchase fresh produce and plants to grow their own food every time they come to market when they join the POP (Power Of Produce) Club. This week we’ll send them on a scavenger hunt! Plenty of close parking and it’s going to be a gorgeous day again….see you there!
