It’s a beautiful scene at the Market right now with the early fall tastes and colors….gorgeous peppers, juicy apples, wild mushrooms, kiwi berries, grapes, pears, ground cherries, the first ‘winter’ squash, newly gathered honey, candied jalapenos, dahlias and chrysanthemums. Soak up this sight every Saturday through October 24th at 2051, Kaen Rd, off Beavercreek Rd, 9am-2pm. 50+ vendors, live music, hot food and drinks. Kids activities..and this week, the spinners are back (working local fiber), after all Sept 19th is Worldwide Spin Day!

2015-09-05 08.33.03Chef Amy will be cooking peppers, drop by get a taste and pick up a recipe. Buy extra this week, peppers are easy to prepare and fantastic frozen. Just slice and bag for the freezer, no blanching necessary. Pull handfuls out during the winter to add to stews, casseroles, mexican dishes, soups….they are packed with nutrition too.

Only 13 weeks till Christmas (sorry!)…yup winter is catching us up. Never fear though..we are open all through the Holidays and New Year, right through April in fact. Our 6th Winter Season starts Saturday November 7th and runs every other Saturday through April 30th, 10am-2pm. This year we are staying put in the same location as the summer market which will mean easy close parking for our customers and allow us the room to grow! Look for many of the same vendors as the summer season but also for new ones joining. Rain, sleet or shine you’ll find us, but for up-to-the-minute market news, especially on wild weather days follow us on Facebook or call 503 734-0192 if you doubt we are open, I bet we are!
