Fall is on the Farmer’s Tables!
Despite our reprieve from the start of Fall these past few days, the change of the season will show on the farmers tables and in the fresh flower bouquets this weekend!
This is possibly the most colorful time at the Market right now, don’t let a few showers put you off enjoying the morning. Chef Amy is preparing Autumn Squash Salad with bacon and maple dressing….be sure to get a taste and pick up a recipe!
Back this week is Utopia Woodworking (Adirondack chairs) , Spear and Arrow (Ghee), The Grate Plate (decorative grating plates). Wild Oregon Seafood is back too and bringing Oregon Chinook, Steelhead and Albacore Tuna…want some to can? Talk to Robin about bulk buys. Gone this week is Sew Silly, Grano Bakery, Sweet Chaos (brownies), Knife-sharpening, back next week… as is CH Woodcraft (Carl …as most of us know him!).
Ta da!!!….the winning apple in last week’s taste test was…..Tsugaru, from Kiyokawa Orchards. This is a crisp, juicy and sweet early apple, make sure you get a taste this week if you didn’t last market.
We have 5 more weekly markets (last one is Oct 28th) then we switch to the Winter Season and open the very NEXT Saturday, November 4th, opening one hour LATER…at 10am-2pm. We run every-other weekend then through April 28th. Don’t miss a market! You can get a winter schedule bookmark to put on the refrigerator at the Info Booth.
