Closing one hour earlier this Saturday!

By 26 July 2018

The Market will be cool early!

Our normal hours are 9am-2pm during the summer season, but due to the hot week behind us and more on the way for Saturday we’ll be closing one hour earlier…. at 1pm.  If you’ve been suffering through this heat, just think about the farmers. Only one will miss this week (Coyote Ridge) but everyone else will be harvesting the fields tomorrow! Come early, bring a cooler for the car and shop all the good stuff of summer. Tomatoes are coming in fast now as are the first peppers, garlic and cucumbers. Last market we saw eggplant and corn too. Lot’s of berries are still in the market (blueberries, blackberries even strawberries), plus cherries and peaches. Tuna is arriving as well, if you want some for canning be sure to let Robin at Wild Oregon Seafood know.

Make a list before you come….and don’t forget you can also order on our new App. Download it from you App Store and shop in the cool of your house.

The POP Club kids make berry jam this Saturday, supervised by the amazing team of OSU Extension Master Food Preservers. Kids , ages 5-12yrs can make a jar of freezer jam to take home….and hopefully get them interested in making their own in future! This free event runs from 9.30am to noon or as long as supplies last.

More gorgeous produce from Sun Love Farms!

Most everyone is making it this week, except the following vendors: Coyote Ridge Farm, Belamy Leather, Market Pasta, S&K Nursery, High 5 Cup Bop. Hopefully next week we will be back to the cloudy mornings and sunny afternoons! Thanks for supporting the market in rain, wind, sleet and ……heat!
