Vendor Updates!

By 25 August 2022

As August winds down so do some of our vendor’s schedules as they plan for fall.

This week we have some vendors updates for you, some that are returning and some who are going on temporary hiatus as they gear up for a new season.

We have all your updates included in this week’s newsletter so make sure to check it out.

Seasonally speaking, produce is prime right now! We have plenty of sweet, delicious corn, tomatoes, stone fruits and plenty of greens, root veggies and peppers!  Don’t forget all the amazing berry varieties! There’s still time to preserve your favorites and enjoy eating fresh.

Ron from Pheasant’s Eye Farm has a limited amount of wild foraged Huckleberries! These are a special yearly treat and are in very short supply given the work and time involved in both finding and harvesting them. Huckleberries are not a crop grown on a farm, rather, they grow wild in mountainous areas. By the way, bears love them!

The market is grateful to offer a 20.00 veggie and fruit SNAP match for our EBT customers! Simply stop by our Information Booth with your EBT card (if you’re a recipient of benefits) and we will get you started. It’s a great way to load up on fresh produce using Double Up Food Bucks coupons. Plus, you can take advantage of this every time you visit the market! We’re happy to answer questions on this incredible benefit at the Information Booth.

This week our POP kids will be learning about the parts of corn! Get your passport signed, 3.00 of tokens to use on FRESH FRUIT and VEGETABLES ONLY and participate in our activity!

You can find us every Saturday from 9-2 at 2051 Kaen Road (at the corner of Kaen and Beavercreek Roads) here in Oregon City.

See you at the market!

The end of August means it’s the last week you can purchase Pam’s Pickled Products at the market until next June. Paul and Pam have been here each week with the best pickled veggies, all made using local produce from our local farms.

This week make sure you stop by their booth and stock up! By the way, Pam’s beautiful jars of veggies make delicious gifts for the foodie in your life.
Choose from Pickled Asparagus, Spicy Bloody Mary Beans, Pickled Garlic, Pickled Sweet Red Onions, and Zucchini Relish.

And if can’t make it to the market or you need a restock during their fall and winter hiatus, never fear. Pam sells all of her pickled vegetables at Market of Choice in West Linn!

We’re excited to welcome back a few vendors you may not have seen in a while. Find them this Saturday!
