Vendor Spotlights!

By 14 October 2020

Only 3 more weeks until winter market begins!

The leaves are changing colors at the market and I couldn’t be happier. Fall is such a creative time of year when it comes to shopping at the market. The produce is lush and plentiful with lots of hardy greens, winter squash, toasty spiced nuts, crusty breads, warming flavors of freshly ground spices, cheerful pumpkins and hot coffee. Late season dahlia bouquets, crunchy apples and crisp wines make the market the best place to celebrate all things fall.

We are excited to welcome a new vendor, Minima Probiotic Protein, to our market family this week and some returning vendors as well, such as Maggy’s Farm for winter plant starts and Diana’s Delights for fresh jams, chutneys, relishes, curds and marmalades. Plus, we have some lovely additions for winter market so you will want to stay tuned for those announcements.

Don’t forget to use your SNAP benefit at the market! We offer up to a 20.00 match per market visit. It’s a great way to support your local farms and enjoy fresh food. Stop by the info booth for your tokens and match.

See you Saturday!

In gratitude,
Market Manager

Welcome Minima Probiotic Protein!
Made locally in eco friendly packaging, Minima Probiotic Protein is inspired by the minimalist diet. Each bottle contains a whopping 20g whole food protein, billions of probiotics, zero added sugars and 7 simple ingredients. Available in fresh flavors with locally sourced berries. Shun will be offering samples (in a COVID safe manner) as well as 12 oz bottles for sale.
Bob from As Iron Sharpens Iron Knife Sharpening Service is here each week for all your sharpening needs. Bob will be finishing up the season with us at the end of October so now is the time to get your holiday carving knives and winter pruning implements sharpened for the upcoming season. Bob also takes special orders and can arrange for pick up at his home, if needed. Make sure to grab one of his business cards while you’re at the market. We are grateful for what he adds to our market community!
Quiche Me If You Can is back at the market this week and if you haven’t tried one of Christa’s delicious quiches, I encourage you to do so! Using all local ingredients, including pasture raised eggs from a local farm, Christa offers a delightful, savory menu which includes vegetarian options.
Sold in two sizes, Quiche Me If You Can can feed a group or an individual. Brunch never looked so good.
Don’t forget! The market has over 20 varieties of pumpkins! Check out our farms plus Bittersweet Springs (located at the market entrance) for your fall inspiration.
