Treats Without the Tricks

By 27 October 2022

It’s our last market of summer season! Join us from 9-2 this Saturday. Without missing a beat, we will launch winter market on November 5th. Don’t forget! We will open 1 hour later – 10am.

Make sure you pick up one of our seasonal bookmarks for our market dates so you can plan to join us. We have plenty at our Information Booth.

In our newsletter this week you can read about what’s in season, our market plans for Halloween and attending vendors.

As a reminder for our SNAP recipients, be sure to use your Double Up Food Bucks before they expire at the end of the year! We’re happy to assist at the Information Booth for any questions. Remember! We have up to a 20.00 produce match! It’s a great time to stock up on winter storage crops.

We’re excited to welcome a new season with you and look forward to sharing a robust season with a large variety of farms and vendors, hot food and coffee options, artisan goods perfect for holiday gifting and community.

See you at the market!

What’s In Season?

This week you can find all manner of delicious produce and even some lingering summer crops, such as cherry tomatoes from Canby Farm and Kitchen. Trying to find something in particular? Check with your farmer or stop by the Info Booth for assistance.

Pears (all varieties)

Greens (arugula, mixed lettuces, collards, chard, kale)
Root Veggies (beets, potatoes, carrots, turnips)

We always love Halloween at the market. Our vendors never disappoint with creative costumes, adding a festive atmosphere. Our costume contest tradition continues! This year folks can vote for their favorite costume at the Information Booth and the vendor who wins receives a free booth space.

Weather permitting, we will have our hugely popular bubble display for both kids and adults alike, thanks to one of our incredible volunteers.

Our POP kids can stop by our Power of Produce booth for a treat and an opportunity to participate in a few activities we have planned, such as guessing the weight of pumpkins and our pumpkin bean bag toss.

We have live music from a new group at the market, Succotash, playing folk and bluegrass. This is a new group to our market, so we’re excited to welcome them.

This is Saturday is As Iron Sharpens Iron last weekend of the season. Make sure to bring your knives and/or garden implements. Can’t make it in time? Visit us at the Information Booth for Bob’s contact info. He kindly takes special orders and works from his home during the off season!
