Oregon City Farmers Market is back this Saturday!

We always look forward to market weeks and this one is no exception! Lots of fresh spring veggies and pastured raised eggs await you!

If you’ve been missing Trail Distilling and Westward Whiskey, they are back this Saturday to give you the makings for delicious spring cocktails. Did you see the forecast for next week?

Since the weather forecast looks gorgeous, maybe try some grilling and pick up Felton and Mary’s spice rubs and BBQ sauces. They even have link sausages to get you started. Check out Campfire Farms and Fisher Ridge if you’re looking for grilling inspiration.

With sunnier days upon us, don’t forget to protect your skin. Landia Organic Skincare has everything you need to protect your body’s largest organ as we approach warmer days.

We are welcoming back Grano Breads this Saturday! Grano will be bringing large amounts of bread and pastries to fuel Oregon City fans. We are grateful to have them for the entire summer season! Morning pastries at the market never sounded better.

Speaking of bread, you ‘knead’ to try Fat Dutch Bread who will be making their market debut this Saturday. Miguel specializes in fermented doughs with offerings such as Cinnamon Raisin (freezes great and makes fantastic toast), Sprouted Grain and Bacon Asiago. Miguel is enjoying connecting with our market farms for his ingredient sourcing. Make sure to extend a warm welcome to Fat Dutch Bread!

Maggy’s Farm has so many plant and veggie starts they’re going to have a double booth this Saturday! Time to get those starts planted as our soil warms. Huge variety and all Certified Naturally Grown.

Summer Season starts May 1st. Please remember we will change our hours back to a 9am opening!
We have over 85 vendors joining us this season! Stay tuned for our full lineup release coming soon. We are excited for our upcoming season and we thank you for shopping and supporting us. By purchasing your groceries from local sources here at the market, you are literally supporting vendor’s livelihoods and small businesses.

Don’t forget! We still have our 20.00 match available for our SNAP recipients. We so appreciate our SNAP customers shopping our market. Stop by the info to get your tokens and Double Up Food Bucks.

While many are now vaccinated please remember masks are still required within the market. We are under strict rules from the Oregon Department of Agriculture and OSHA. We all look forward to the day we can see your smiles. For now, thank you for helping us stay open by wearing a mask.

See you at the market this Saturday!

We’re talking about Mushrooms and Microgreens today! Our vendors, Mindful Mushrooms and Mulino Microgreens (say that two times fast!) are with us year round. Even better, they are neighboring vendors so you find their booths next to one another in the market. While many produce vendors go on winter hiatus or have smaller harvests given the cold weather, these two farms provide plenty of nutrient dense foods to sustain us all year.

Mindful Mushrooms offers a wide variety of mushrooms, such as Shitake, Oyster, Lion’s Mane and more. Located in Redland, Riley grows his ‘shrooms without the use of fungicides, pesticides or chemicals. Mushrooms are a wonderful source of protein and can be easily swapped as an alternative to meat in a dish.

Here’s quick and easy recipe from Tasty Kitchen for sauteed mushrooms. You can use a variety or just one, your choice!

Microgreens are little nutritional powerhouses. These are vegetable greens that are harvested just after their leaves have developed (known as cotyledon leaves).

They are up to 4 to 40 times more nutritious than their mature counterparts! Known for their delicious burst of flavor, microgreens offer a source of natural energy, easy digestion and healthy antioxidants. Add them as a garnish to grain bowls, rice and beans, eggs, soups or in burgers and wraps.

Cory and Mary of Mulino Microgreens offer an extensive variety, such as sunflower, pea, broccoli, kale, basic salad mix and coming soon, 2 varieties of mustard! Make sure to pick some up on Saturday.
