The Market has Exciting News to Share!

By 24 August 2023

The Secret is Out!

The Oregon City Farmers Market is moving!

The Oregon City Farmers Market is pleased to announce our new location beginning November 4th, 2023, at Clackamas Community College. We are excited for this opportunity and look forward to sharing our new space with our community, vendors and customers! This week’s newsletter contains some details about our move so read on for more information.

In the meantime, we hope to see you at Saturday’s market for your weekly stock up on fresh foods and wares. As a reminder, we will remain at our same location until the end of the summer season on October 28th. Our move will coincide with our first market of winter season.

To our SNAP recipients: Don’t forget to use your benefits at the market!  We offer a produce match up to 20.00 every time you shop the market. Oregon City residents who receive SNAP have the extra benefit of an additional 10.00 to spend on EBT eligible foods. Make sure you stop by our Information Booth to get started.
As folks start looking ahead to the school year, it’s a great time to use some extra food benefits to stock up for meals.

You can find us at 2051 Kaen Road (at the corner of Kaen and Beavercreek Roads) until Oct 28th here in Oregon City from 9-2* (Subject to close at 1 if heat becomes unbearable).

See you at the market!

Our new market home will be located at Clackamas Community College’s Horticulture Department, specifically in Green Lots #1 and #2 on Oregon City’s main campus. There is plentiful parking for our customers, beautiful trees, greenery and gardens.

During the coming months we will share with you updates regarding our move in the form of our bookmarks, newsletters, location directions and more. Our sincere gratitude goes to Clackamas County for generously allowing us the use of their employee parking lot for over 10 years! The County has supported our vision and growth from the beginning, allowing us plenty of space for local farms and businesses to sell the food they’ve grown and made. The County has always shared our goal, to support local growers and provide a venue for local food access.

As we begin a new chapter in our market journey, we want to acknowledge Clackamas Community College for their warm welcome and invitation to join them in a new partnership. Our goals align, to be a source for Oregon’s agricultural bounty and provide both educational and food incentive programs to our community and beyond.

We appreciate your support as we begin this transition and look forward to seeing you at our new home!

Now is the time to take advantage of all the summer produce! From purple beans to sweet personal sized melons, the selections are endless, but the season is moving quickly. Thinking about preserving summer bounty for those cold winter days? Now is the time. We have plenty of preserving resources available at our info booth, compliments of OSU Extension Services.

This week our market is a bit smaller due to end of August vacations and vendors taking a much-needed break, but we still have plenty of fresh produce and farm direct groceries, plus artisan wares to complement your late summer gardens.
