The Bells are Ringing!

By 22 August 2024

The bells are ringing!

Thankfully there are still a few weeks before school bells ring, but here at the market we’re rejoicing in the arrival of peppers. Bells, Jimmy Nardellos, Sweet Reds, Padron’s, Jalapenos, Serranos, the list is endless. That’s the fun of shopping farmers markets, trying new varieties you wouldn’t otherwise see, thanks to the ingenuity and creativity of our farmers and their seed sourcing. Flavor profiles range from mild to sweet to spicy and the colors alone evoke a sense of inspiration! You can find plenty of choices at all of our vegetable farmer booths this Saturday.

We are often asked about parking options at the market. Our busiest shopping times are between 9-11 but we’re open until 2pm.
FUN FACT: Our new home at Clackamas Community College offers MORE parking than our former location on Kaen Rd. It’s just spread out more.

On Wednesday the market posted an informational reel for some parking guidance. In case you missed it, here is the link for your reference.

Here’s a quick parking run down at our new location on the campus of Clackamas Community College here in Oregon City:

Green Lot 2: Customer parking and ADA spaces/access
Douglas Loop: (situated BEHIND our market) offers customer parking and 4 ADA spaces with ADA access
Brown Lot (across from the Environmental Learning Center) which is a 3 min walk to the market
Blue Lots 1 and 2 next to the baseball fields (a 3-5 min walk)
Tri Met bus line 32 stops right at the corner of our market next to Green Lot 2.

See you this Saturday from 9am-2pm!

VENDOR HIGHLIGHT: Good Pud

When Scott Campbell overcame heart and thyroid diseases, he knew firsthand how difficult it was to find a sweet treat that aligned with his dietary needs.

In the space of a night, Good Pud was born! A chocolate craving led to an experiment using a roasted sweet potato and creating a ‘good for you’ pudding. With flavors such as chocolate fudge and lemon meringue, the makers at Good Pud source the most local and natural ingredients possible to create a delicious treat. Don’t forget to try it frozen for an ice cream option!

“Our goal is to create the most luxurious tasting snacks available anywhere with nutritional value that’s virtually impossible to find. GoodPūD™ is 100% plant-based, paleo, dairy/egg/soy/nut/oil/gluten-free, and no added sugar. Made from the superfood, sweet potato. All non-GMO, and as many Organic ingredients as we can get our hands on.” Make sure to check out their website for nutritional information, ingredients and the health benefits.

Stop by Good Pud this Saturday at the market. Scott will be here with plenty of samples plus lots of flavors for purchase.
