Summer Market Season Begins!

By 30 April 2026

Opening day of the Summer Market is this Saturday!

Summer Market season begins this Saturday, May 2, from 9am–1pm, and we’re ready to fill our space with fresh produce, local makers, live music, and all the energy that makes Oregon City shine this time of year.

With a new season we’re also shifting to our new operating hours: 9am–1pm. We’ll be opening bright and early and wrapping up one hour sooner to better align with peak harvest times, keep shoppers and vendors comfortable as temperatures rise, and support a smooth, vibrant market day. These hours will continue every Saturday through the summer season, giving you plenty of time to shop fresh, local, and in community.

With this milder spring, RJ Farms is already harvesting their first strawberries of the season — and they’ll have them at the market on Saturday!

Now that summer season is here, our market’s Information and POP Booths will move BACK to the South end of the market so we can make space for our live music and dining area. We will have signs to direct you and remember the Info Booth is your go to place for running SNAP transactions, Debit cards, token purchases, merchandise purchasing and market resources.

You’ll find returning favorites right alongside new summer vendors joining us for the first time, growers, bakers, specialty food producers, and emerging small businesses bringing even more flavor and creativity to your weekend shopping.

Bring your shopping totes and come meet the people who grow and create right here in our community. We can’t wait to welcome you back for another delicious, connection‑filled season at the market.

You can find us in GREEN LOT 1 on the campus of Clackamas Community College here in Oregon City. Customer overflow parking is located in Blue Lots 1 and 2. TriMet Bus Line 32 stops at the corner of our market plus we have plenty of ADA parking options available.

See you at the market!

🌷🥕 Spring is bursting at the market this week!

Our growers are rolling in with the best of the season, tender greens, radishes, spring onions, herbs, and early carrots. all picked fresh and full of that unmistakable spring flavor.

And if you’ve been waiting for color, it’s here. Flower baskets, porch planters, veggie plant starts and vibrant blooms are arriving in full force, ready to brighten up your home and garden.

If you need to get those garden tools sharpened, this Saturday marks the return of Bob from As Iron Sharpens Iron. Bob is known for his incredible knife sharpening skills to get those implements back in tip top shape for the season.

RJ Farms will have 55-65 flats of strawberries with more to follow in the weeks ahead. They’re delicious and completely pesticide/chemical free.
Summer means the return of our kid’s Power of Produce Program!

HOW THE POP CLUB WORKS:

KIDS ages 5–12 can:

  • Stop by the Power of Produce (POP) Booth to sign up for free

  • Receive $2 in wooden POP tokens every time they come to market to spend on fresh fruits, vegetables, and edible plant starts

  • Participate May–October in hands‑on, value‑creating activities focused on food, nutrition, and growing

  • Enjoy weekly summer‑season activities such as:

    • Seed planting

    • Flour grinding

    • Pancake making

    • Market scavenger hunts

    • How to make freezer jam

    • Garden-related crafts

    • Vegetable peeling

    • Food‑related crafts

  • Earn an additional $2 in tokens for a total of $4 after completing the day’s activity to spend on even more fresh produce and veggie plant starts

Thanks to Clackamas Soil and Water Conservation District, Oregon City Rotary Club, IUOE Local 701 and OnPoint Community Credit Union we are able to increase our token distribution amount to 4.00 for kids who participate. We are so grateful to our funders and their dedication to teaching kids about the importance of local food systems.

You can still donate your gently used books at the Market Information Booth through May 9 as we prepare for our 2nd annual Book Fair fundraiser on May 16 from 9–1. All proceeds help cover supply costs for our POP Club activities throughout the season.

We hope you’ll plan to shop, too! We’ve already received some wonderful donations for both kids and adults, and your support directly strengthens this beloved program.
