Summer Market Begins this Saturday, May 3rd

By 1 May 2025

We’re back to weekly markets every Saturday from 9am-2pm!

Summer market season has arrived and we’re looking forward to sharing it with you. You can expect weekly live music (this week we’re welcoming The Steve and Margot Show!), Power of Produce Club activities, Master Gardeners, our Field to Fork Learning Kitchen twice per month and fun events such as a Red Yarn performance, cider pressing and more.

Thanks to your generous book donations and shopping support, our Book Fair exceeded our monetary goal! Our POP club summer activity expenses are fully funded. We are truly grateful for your investment to this vital education program for our youth. THANK YOU! (Stay tuned for a fun event coming this fall, too!)

This week our newsletter shares some NEW vendors attending our market this week PLUS welcome back:

  • Pheasant’s Eye Farm (Veg and fruit farm)
  • Hill Tree Garden (Flower bouquets)
  • White Owl Acres (Hanging flower baskets)
  • S&K Flowers, (Hanging flower baskets)

Please note we open at 9am now that we’re back to our weekly market schedule. Please no early sales.

Find us on the campus of Clackamas Community College’s GREEN LOT 1 here in Oregon City off the corner of S Beavercreek Rd and Clairmont Drive.

See you at the market!

On April 30th, 2024, the market lost an incredible man who donated countless hours to the market and his community. Jeff Becker was one of the market’s original volunteers who worked tirelessly to ensure its success.

Not only did he serve as our market’s Board President, but Jeff also worked for the Clackamas Soil and Water Conservation District and Lewis and Clark College. Jeff’s passion for sustainable living and local agriculture was evident in all the projects he was involved in.

On any given Saturday, Jeff was at the market in one capacity or another. Whether directing traffic, shopping for Squirrelly Jane’s Hazelnuts, fixing a generator, serving hot apple cider to customers, setting up market equipment, playing music, or working in our Power of Produce kid’s club, Jeff embraced his market community!

Jeff was also an incredibly talented musician, singer, and craftsman. Rain or shine, Jeff entertained marketgoers and music venues with his band The Beckerheads, and as a solo artist (his Tom Petty covers were epic).

He was a friend to many, an advocate for good and a person full of integrity. While we deeply miss his presence, his spirit and work live on through his two daughters (Madi works at the market as our Operations and Programming Coordinator), three grandchildren, and his wife, Jeanne.

Thanks to generous donations the market received in Jeff’s honor and his love for music, we felt it fitting to customize a new music tent. Please visit the market and see the new Jeff Becker Music Stage as we kick off our summer music series.
