Shop from Seasonal Vendors

By 26 September 2024

As the seasons converge, some of our vendors are finishing their market schedules.

It’s always bittersweet when some of our market vendors conclude their season for the year. For many, their harvests are finished and for some, it’s time to recharge and restock product. This week will be Pam’s Pickled Products last Saturday of the season but we’re going to try and convince them to return for our Harvest Market on Nov 23rd.

In the meantime, stock up on your favorites. Pam will be offering Pickled Beans, Pickled Garlic, Pickled Sweet Red Onions, and Old-Fashioned Zucchini Relish. Asparagus lovers, never fear! You can still purchase their Pickled Asparagus (using RJ Farms asparagus, by the way) at the Market of Choice in West Linn.

Our resident knife sharpener extraordinaire, As Iron Sharpens Iron will be with us for 1 more month. If you have garden implements and knives needing attention, now is the time. Bring them to Bob and get ready for fall and winter. Bob is located adjacent to the market’s Information Booth.

Spice lovers, rejoice! Our long-time former vendor, Spice Pilgrim, is back for a special one-day market attendance. They have opened up a new brick and mortar location in Sellwood! Come for the freshest spices, just in time for fall and learn about how to access their spices and teas year round.

This Saturday’s forecast is looking beautiful. The leaves at our market lot are starting to turn and the air is festive with seasonal produce and farm direct groceries perfectly suited for the changing weather. Martson Farm and Campfire Farms will be in attendance with locally raised beef and pork perfect for a Sunday slow roast to start your week. It’s time to savor this fleeting season with comforting foods!

Don’t forget to pick up one of our winter bookmarks this Saturday. It has all our market dates, events, how to use SNAP and ways to keep in touch with the market. Stop by the Information Booth.

Find us this Saturday from 9am-2pm on the campus of Clackamas Community College’s GREEN LOT 1 here in Oregon City (easy bus access is line 32). We’re located off the corner of S Beavercreek Road and Clairmont Drive.

See you at the market!

VENDOR SPOTLIGHT: Stone and Sage Ceramics

Jen LaPier is a talented artist and ceramicist we’re lucky to have at the market. Her handmade stoneware is not only art, but her pieces are also functional and intended for daily use and enjoyment. Locally designed and made here in Oregon City (kiln is located at a local pig sanctuary!), Jen has developed a strong following and built connection with folks who have purchased her work.  With a background in interior architecture and graphic design, her pieces are infused with a ‘blend of modern aesthetics, thoughtful craftsmanship, and playful experimentation.”

Find items such as drinkware, serving dishes, kitchen tools and containers as part of her revolving inventory. Her pieces are fashioned with intention and creativity. Jen is only here a few times per year, this Saturday being one of them so make sure to shop from her this Saturday.

(Fun Fact: Stone and Sage will be at the market on 11/23 and 12/7 just in time for the holidays)
