Our Seed Swap is Here!

By 16 March 2023

Our Seed Swap is finally here!

Not only can you find farm- direct groceries this Saturday at the market, but you can also get planting inspiration and seeds for your summer garden. Plan on visiting the market’s Seed Swap!

Our Seed Swap is especially successful if you bring seeds to share. Tired of that extra batch of Marigold seeds you know you aren’t going to use? Bring them (labeled) to the swap. Guaranteed, it will be someone’s treasure. It’s what makes the swap unique, thanks to folks bringing varieties others can try and enjoy.

Even if you don’t have any seeds to bring, don’t let that stop you from choosing some varieties to try at home. We will have both veggie and flower seeds available but only while supplies last. And as we shared, the experts at OSU Extension’s Master Gardeners will be here with planting advice. Our thanks to our sponsors at Herman’s Seeds, OSU Extension, Territorial Seeds and OSU Master Gardeners.

We’re excited to be back at the market with plenty of locally grown fresh food. Read on for what’s in season and our attending vendors.

See you on Saturday!

What’s In Season?

March is considered the ‘hunger gap’ month of the year when it comes to locally grown produce so we’re especially grateful to our farmers for their innovative growing techniques that allow them to bring fresh vegetables and fruit to us year-round.
