“Lettuce” Celebrate Peak Summer Produce

By 23 July 2026

As we wrap up the month of July, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks.

Your weekly visits sustain local livelihoods, strengthen small businesses, and keep our region’s growers, makers, and producers thriving. Every time you choose locally grown, raised, and crafted foods, you’re investing directly in your community. We’re grateful that the market has become a favorite shopping destination for so many. Thank you for being part of it.

Tomatoes are coming in hot and they are so tasty. With so many varieties at the market right now, it’s a perfect time to explore your favorites. As we move into August, more of the sauce and paste tomatoes will be ready for canning or freezing. This is the moment of the year when we crave tomato sandwiches, kitchen‑sink peaches, sweet berries, cold melon, and crisp cucumbers. The season moves fast, much like Oregon summers, so savor these delights while they’re here.

You can find us every Saturday from 9am-1pm at Clackamas Community College here in Oregon City. We operate in GREEN LOT.

See you at the market!

Thank you for participating in our Customer Survey!

The results are in and your feedback helps us understand who we’re serving and how we can continue to grow.

This month, 97 out of 144 respondents shared that they live right here in Oregon City, with the rest joining us from Milwaukie, West Linn, Estacada, Canby, Molalla, Beavercreek, and Happy Valley. We love seeing how far our community reaches.

Shopping habits were equally encouraging. Of 134 responses, 52 customers shop weekly, and 47 visit occasionally, showing strong and steady engagement throughout the season. We also welcomed 17 brand‑new customers, and we’re thrilled you found your way to the market.

Most folks arrive by car: 136 out of 143 respondents drive to the market. Once they’re here, their priorities are clear. 103 out of 177 customers come specifically for locally grown produce and farm‑direct foods, reinforcing how central our growers and producers are to the market experience.

When asked what helps you decide to shop at the farmers market, 93 out of 178 respondents said supporting local is their top motivator, followed by 62 who prioritize freshness and quality. Others shared that they come to use SNAP benefits, enjoy community, attend special events, or shop lower price points.

Together, these insights paint a vibrant picture of a community that values local food, connection, and the people behind the products. Thank you for showing up, sharing your voice, and helping us continue to grow a market that reflects you.

Construction Update: The Work Continues…

Many folks have asked us about CCC’s construction project and what is being built around our market lot. Clackamas Community College is currently installing a new two‑mile continuous walking path across campus, and we’re excited to share that this project will also make it easier to access our market.

Once completed, the path will create smoother, more direct pedestrian routes into our market space, improving safety and flow for shoppers arriving on foot, in addition to increased ADA access points.
We appreciate your continued patience during construction. These upgrades will support both the college community and our market for years to come.

Additional parking can be found in GREEN LOT 2, plus BLUE LOTS 1 and 2.

Here’s What’s Going on at the POP Club on Saturday!
This week our Power of Produce (POP) kids will test their produce and rhyming knowledge by trying to answer our Stone Fruit Limerick Challenge! 4 rhyming clues will lead kids to find some of our tastiest stone fruits that are in season in the market this week. Bonus- All the stone fruit they see can be purchased with the tokens they earn. Yum!
