Let’s Celebrate National Farmers Market Week!

By 30 July 2026

Join the celebration! National Farmers Market Week is almost here!

National Farmers Market Week begins August 2nd. This is an annual celebration of farmers markets proclaimed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and coordinated by the Farmers Market Coalition (FMC), a membership-based nonprofit organization that supports farmers markets nationwide through training, technical assistance, and network-building.

Each year, National Farmers Market Week highlights the vital role farmers markets play within our nation’s local food systems. For more than fifty years, farmers markets have influenced the way Americans eat, shop, and connect to their food, their farmers, and one another. Farmers markets are more than marketplaces, they are places where neighbors learn, grow, and work together!Farmers markets don’t just happen. Every week, farmers harvest, wash, pack, and drive in before sunrise. Our team sets up tents, signs, safety equipment, and the entire market footprint from the ground up. And all of this happens before the opening bell, long before the first shopper arrives. Then comes the behind‑the‑scenes work that continues throughout market hours. At 1 p.m., we break everything down, pack it all up, and get ready to do it again the following Saturday.

All of this effort creates the vibrant, community‑powered space you enjoy every Saturday. Thank you for supporting local growers, makers, and food access programs. Your presence keeps this market thriving.

We are kicking off our celebration this Saturday with delicious seasonal sample plates (grilled peaches, anyone?) at our Field to Fork Market Learning Kitchen, an interactive POP kids’ activity and live music from 9:30-1. Read below for more details.

Here’s to National Farmers Market Week and to everyone who helps bring fresh, local food to Oregon City. 🌽🍑🌻

You can find us every Saturday from 9am-1pm at Clackamas Community College here in Oregon City. We operate in GREEN LOT 1.

See you at the market!

Sample the Season! Enjoy our Field to Fork Market Kitchen’s Small-Plate Tasting!
This Saturday, we’re serving up a fresh, peak‑season delight that shows exactly what makes farmers markets special. Stop by for a sample of our grilled peach salad! It’s a simple, beautiful dish made entirely from ingredients grown and produced by our vendors. You don’t want to miss it.

It’s our way of highlighting the incredible flavors that come from buying local and supporting Oregon growers. Field to Fork is all about connecting shoppers with the farms behind their food, and this week’s tasting is the perfect celebration of that mission.

Here’s What’s Going on at the POP Club this Saturday!
This week our POP kids have a special opportunity to thank the farmers who grow their food! We will have all the creative supplies so kids can design their own thank you cards for their favorite farmers. Our growers are so appreciative and it’s a great reminder to honor the hard work that goes into providing food for communities.
