Squirrelly Jane is back with more organic Veteran peaches and pears and her wonderful hazelnuts and nut butter. She was gone last week and may be gone the next 2 weeks so stock up!! Altengartz Bratwurst truck is back, but out is Bamas BBQ (back next Saturday), plus we have Yes Please Indian and Sara’s Tamales. The fun guys at Stillweather Spirits will be mixing up mini cocktails for tasters of their gin, distilled right here in OC. and Forest Edge Vineyards are back…have you tried their Sparkling Rose’?

Taking over the Market Kitchen this week is Ryan from Brown Bottle Farm, (in another life he was a chef!). Last summer Ryan’s demo was super-fun, you don’t want to miss his ‘Ode to the Tomato’ on Saturday and taste 3 different tomato recipes and take home the directions and get cookin’!

 

In other news: Our friends at Grano Bakery are looking for farmers market help for the rest of the season on both Saturday and Sunday, know of anyone who wants sweet (literally!) weekend work? OSU Extension is holding a great class on Saturday Sept 14th (1pm-4pm) You’ll learn how to preserve your harvest with Pressure Canning. Learn the safe and simple process of pressure canning low acid foods like meat, fish, broth, and vegetables. They’ll discuss care and proper use of a pressure canner, recipe resources, and practice research-based techniques while processing vegetables. The Two Bit Brothers are entertaining us this Saturday with folk tunes and easy listening light rock. Pack your coolers, your shopping bags, produce bags and if you are eating with us bring a water bottle some cutlery too….Happy Labor Day!! Find us every Saturday through October at 2015 Kaen Rd, open 9am-2pm. Winter season starts Saturday November 9th, 10am-2pm…pick up a bookmark this Saturday with the winter dates (everyother week).
