Is Father’s Day Weekend At The Market!

By 16 June 2021

It’s Father’s Day Weekend!

However you choose to spend your weekend make sure you kick it off by shopping at the market first!
This Saturday we have a robust group of 75 vendors bringing the season’s latest bounty.

Now for the news you’ve all been waiting for. Bob from As Iron Sharpens Iron is back at the market this Saturday. We know all of Bob’s loyal customers have missed him since he’s been on a lengthy hiatus. While Bob is going to be incredibly busy with orders, rest assured he will have your implements sharpened in no time for the season!

We are heading into the sweet spot of produce. The market is bursting with color and cooking inspiration! Spotted last week were vibrant colors of zucchini and carrots from Sun Love, crunchy French radishes from Farm’ D’ICI, nutrient dense broccoli from Coyote Ridge, early tomatoes from Brown Bottle, Bing Cherries and Apricots from RJ Farms and Parkdale grown Asparagus from Pheasant’s Eye.

Expect to see fresh lettuce mixes, beets, kohlrabi, sugar snap peas, fresh lavender from Lavish, microgreens from Mulino Microgreens and a large variety of mushrooms from Mindful Mushrooms. Don’t forget a bountiful bouquet from micro flower farm, Free Hand.

While strawberries abound, I suspect our much needed rain may shorten their timeline. In the meantime you can still get some varieties along with newly ripened Raspberries from South Barlow and Valley Berry Farms and even a small amount of Blueberries from Albeke.

Stop by Fisher Ridge and Campfire Farms for pork chops perfect to throw on the grill this weekend. The weather is going to be beautiful for a cook out.

Many of you have have inquired about the market’s latest mask policy. While we aren’t requiring masks or checking vaccine cards, we are kindly requesting you continue wearing one. Many children in the market, in addition to staff, customers and vendors are still waiting on completing their vaccines. Our vendors will continue wearing masks out of safety and consideration for all. We ask that you do the same.

Read on for our newest and returning vendors, gift ideas for Father’s Day, plus our full vendor lineup!

We will see you at the market from 9-2pm 2051 Kaen Rd (located at the corner of Kaen and Beavercreek Rds) here in Oregon City!

Please welcome, ReTreat PDX, a plant based, sustainably sourced cacao based chocolate crafter!

A zero waste company, Zsuzi handcrafts all organic chocolates available in truffles, bundles or bar and packs in recyclable and resuable containers. Even the paper packaging comes embedded with wildflower seeds for direct planting in your garden!

Choose from intriguing varieties such as Toasted Coconut, Sea Salt, Matcha Mint, Raspberry Hibiscus, and Blueberry (just to name a few) and enjoy the fact her chocolates are created with a low-glycemic sugar index and made with coconut sugar.

We are so excited to welcome back Kellan from Goddess Mousse this Saturday! If you haven’t tried her mousse yet, you will want to add it to your shopping list immediately.

Kellan makes plant based chocolate mousse in flavors such as chocolate caramel, mint chocolate and chocolate raspberry.

Crafted from local and organic ingredients, and held within reusable glass jars, Goddess Mousse is maple sweetened, mineral rich and a good source of plant protein.

Don’t forget to pick up this incredible treat!
