Hello Autumn

Happy Autumn!

It’s our last month of summer market before we return to our winter season on November 5th at 10am. As we roll into October the days are becoming shorter and the mornings cooler. The growing season has taken its toll on farmers this year, given the late rains and wet spring. But, in a burst of fall warmth, we’ve been fortunate enough to enjoy a longer harvest.

Just when we thought South Barlow Berries was done for the season, we were delighted to hear they still have berries so they will be back this Saturday!

Brown Bottle Farm will be out this week and next due to fall transplanting. The good news is they plan to be here for the fall and winter with fresh, seasonal produce. They will return on October 15th.

This week Campfire Farms has some fantastic buying options for their customers!

As we all get back into our routines, it’s really nice to have quick dinner options like pork chops or sausage in your home freezer.
Campfire has bulk buying options for pork and chicken at a variety of price points. We will have pork throughout the winter, but we will run out of chicken sometime before the end of this year.

If you’d like to continue eating Campfire chicken, the best way to do it is to stock up and store them in your own freezer. All purchases can be made via our website just indicate pick up at the Oregon City Farmer’s Market.”

In celebration of the Oregon City Arch Bridge turning 100 years old, reclaimed wood artist, PacHome NW will have special pieces to honor the occasion, in addition to her inventory that celebrates Oregon. This will be Adrianne’s last market of the season so be sure to visit her booth on Saturday. It’s not too early to start thinking of holiday gifts!
