Good News For SNAP Recipients

By 30 September 2021

We are in our final month of summer market!

If you can believe it, we are rapidly approaching our winter market kick off on November 6th. Our market will transition to every other week from 10-2. We encourage you to stop by the info booth for a handy bookmark that highlights all our season’s market dates, times and special events.

As we get closer to the new season we will highlight our 65 new and returning vendors. We look forward to serving our community with fresh local food!

This week we are excited to welcome back Kellan from Goddess Mousse, creator of delicious plant based and naturally sweetened, chocolate mousses. Not only are they decadent they are full of healthy nutrients! What could be better?

Sao Noi is returning as well with their flavorful peanut sauces and chili oils. Using traditional family recipes, their sauces and oils are a must have in your pantry to liven any dish.

Don’t let the fact that fall is here deter you from shopping the market. The amount of produce available is substantial with so much to choose from. You can enjoy a rainbow of flavors this week.

Coyote Ridge Farm and Divine Mini Donuts are taking a much needed respite this Saturday but will both return on Oct 9th.

Remember to bring home some pumpkins this Saturday! Bittersweet Springs will have beautiful varieties to choose from.

As our weather and seasons change so will vendor schedules. Make sure to check our attending vendors each week in our newsletter. It’s a great way to keep up to date as you prepare your market shopping list.

Enjoy live music from Free Range this week, in addition to warm breakfast burritos from Sara’s Tamales and freshly roasted coffee from Double Jump. Check out Joining Yarns for some cozy handknit accessories for the colder weather. These fall days are perfect for the market!

Find us from 9-2 at 2051 Kaen Rd (at the corner of Beavercreek and Kaen Roads) here in Oregon City.

See you at the market!

Did you know that SNAP and P-EBT recipients can receive up to a 30.00 match per visit at our market?

Thanks to the generous grant funding from The Farmers Market Fund, The City of Oregon City and the Oregon City Rotary Club, we now have the funds to increase our match.

Here’s an example!

Run 20.00 on your EBT card and we will match 30.00 in Double Up Food Bucks coupons and tokens. Use the coupons for fresh fruit, veggies, beans, nuts, plant starts and mushrooms. Use the tokens for everything else in the market (excluding fresh flowers, skincare, alcohol, hot food prepared on site and craft items)

Not sure what to do next? We have you covered. Simply bring your card to the information booth at the market on Saturday and we will do the rest. Prepare to enjoy locally grown and made food while also supporting local farms and small businesses.

We look forward to serving you!
