Gifts from the Farm: Holiday Market Picks

By 12 December 2025

Fresh for the holidays!

The holidays are here, and the market is brimming with cozy flavors, thoughtful gifts, and festive gatherings. This week’s newsletter spotlights fresh seasonal foods, a curated holiday gift guide from local vendors, and everything you need to know about our upcoming Holiday Market so you can shop, taste, and celebrate with ease.

For the next two Saturdays, Campfire Farms will have their holiday slow‑cured hams available for purchase. You can expect rich, smoky notes and a tender texture that makes it an effortless holiday centerpiece; it pairs beautifully with mustard glazes, maple‑roasted root vegetables, and warm cider. Martson Scottish Highland Beef has plenty of celebratory cuts to highlight your holiday tables, as well.

Support local makers this season: pre‑order your baked goods and holiday centerpieces, pick up a few items from the gift guide, and stop by our next two markets to taste, shop, and celebrate. Share this newsletter with friends who love local food and handmade gifts, and we’ll see you at the market.

Find us on the campus of Clackamas Community College’s GREEN LOT 1 here in Oregon City from 10am-2pm this Saturday.

Happy Holidays!

A reminder for SNAP recipients! Make sure to use up your 2025 Double Up Food Bucks before they expire on Dec 31st. We have two more markets of the year (the 13th and the 20th) which offers some opportunity to stock up. Coupons may be used for fruit, vegetables, mushrooms, dried beans, herbs and veggie plant starts.
New 2026 currency will be issued in January thanks to continued grant funding for this vital program.

This week the market has curated a gift guide to provide inspiration for unique and intentional gift giving, with products grown or made by our talented artisans, growers and makers. We encourage you to purchase local while supporting small farms and businesses. Make sure to check out our stocking stuffer ideas, too!

Give the gift of locally grown food.

With the increase of food costs, we know many are struggling with expenses. An idea for gifting that comes with a lasting impact is to share the gift of a CSA (community supported agriculture) subscription with someone who might benefit from a year-round produce or meat box.

This not only supports a family you may know dealing with food insecurity, but it also helps support our local small farms year-round. Perhaps you have a friend or family member that loves cooking with fresh, seasonal produce or sustainably raised beef and pork. A food share is an ideal way to honor Oregon’s rich agriculture.

The process is simple as most of our farms offer produce shares with a variety of options, including prices, sizes and delivery/pick up schedules. Fresh food delivered to your doorstep never sounded better! SNAP recipients! Did you know you can apply your Double Up Food Bucks match for produce subscriptions?

You can visit the following CSA farms at our market on December 20th for more information on 2026 shares OR visit their websites.
