From Our Farmers to Your Tables

Supporting Local in the Winter

Winter is one of the most important times to show up for small farms and makers. Your purchases help farmers bridge the slow season, invest in seeds and supplies, and prepare for the spring surge.

Here are a few ways to support your local food community this month:
•     Choose one new vendor to visit each week
•     Stock up on storage crops and pantry items
•     Try a winter CSA or farm box
•     Bring a friend to the market and introduce them to your favorite booth
•     Share your market haul on social media to help spread the word

Small actions add up to a stronger, more resilient regional food economy!

Your commitment to local food keeps our farmers, makers, and community thriving through every season. We’re grateful for your presence, your purchases, and the way you help us build a market that reflects the heart of our region.

Find us this Saturday in GREEN LOT 1 on the campus of Clackamas Community College here in Oregon City from 10am-2pm.

See you at the market—rain, shine, snowy mix or February drizzle.

REMINDER:
This Saturday is Kiyokawa Farm’s last market of the season. They will return in early July with their amazing stone fruits! Make sure to stock up on apples, cider and pears this week.
Vendor Highlight: Al Xile PDX (pronounced al-chee-leh)

Small‑batch maker Al Xile PDX is bringing bold, deeply rooted flavors to the market with their trio of signature chili oils: crisped Jalapeños, Serranos, and Habaneros. Each pepper is thinly sliced and crisped in olive oil, creating a spicy, savory crunch that adds instant depth and excitement to any dish.

Founder Oscar is committed to honoring the culinary traditions of his Mexican heritage while crafting something fresh, modern, and endlessly versatile. These blends aren’t just condiments; they’re designed to spark creativity in the kitchen and elevate everyday meals with vibrant heat and flavor.

What sets Al Xile apart is their dedication to quality ingredients and intentional, small‑batch craftsmanship. Drizzle the oils over eggs, swirl them into soups, toss with roasted veggies, or use as a finishing touch for tacos and grilled meats. However you use them, they bring a punch of character that transforms a plate.
