Farms And Fires

By 9 September 2020

The word, “Unprecedented” has been used more than we care to admit.

Here we are again, in the midst of adversity and natural disasters. Our farmers and growers are resilient and strong but they need our support. Many of our market vendors have evacuated and some are facing loss of crops, buildings and scattered livestock.
Right now they need us more than ever. When you consider where to spend your grocery dollars, please remember to support our beloved farmers and growers. They will be relying on our business to get through these tragic days.

If the potential smoke and poor air quality makes you hesitate to come out to the market on Saturday you might want to consider accessing our online order app called What’s Good Marketplace for drive up orders! Simply click on the link to get started. We operate our weekly drive up lane for customers who prefer no contact and/or prefer a more convenient method of shopping. In times like these, a pick up option is a great way to still support local and access fresh food.
Despite the incredible amount of adversity we are all facing this year I’ve been noticing our local community coming together in support of each other, especially in light of these fires. I’m hearing story after story of folks lending equipment, space, support, meals, gift cards for the displaced and housing for livestock. It’s been encouraging to see people reach beyond themselves and look out for one another. Today I feel a gratefulness to live where we do!
Please continue to follow our social media and website for updates on Saturday’s Market. We plan to remain open but as our fire situation changes we may need to adjust accordingly. Thank you for understanding!
