Egg-cellent Easter Market Highlights

By 2 April 2026

Easter Weekend at the Market

Spring is settling in, and the market is starting to wake up with brighter colors, new harvests, and that unmistakable feeling of the season turning. This week brings an extra bit of celebration as we head into Easter weekend. It’s perfect timing for gathering ingredients, enjoying a morning at the market, and sharing the day with family and friends.

What’s Fresh This Week:

Early spring produce is rolling in, and our growers are bringing the best of the season:

Tender greens like spinach, arugula, and spring mix

Radishes, turnips, and early carrots

Leeks, onions, and overwintered brassicas

Farm‑fresh eggs

Local mushrooms, microgreens, and early herbs

Fresh breads, pastries, and holiday‑ready treats from our bakers

It’s a great week to build an Easter brunch menu around local ingredients. Think veggie quiches, roasted roots, sliced ham, herb‑butter biscuits, and bright spring salads. The market has it all, in addition to fresh spring bouquets, baked treats, pies, breads, plant starts, artisan goods, and festive beverages.

Nicki from Storybook Farm is back for our April markets and she is bringing a delightful array of farm direct favorites, PLUS she is bringing fresh nettles! Have you ever tried Nettle Pesto? It’s delicious and so versatile. Here is a recipe from My Savory Twist for some spring inspiration: Nettle Pesto Pasta: An Incredible Ultimate Recipe with 5 Benefits | My Savory Twist

Nicki will also have jars of the following:

  • culinary herbs
  • herbal tea blends
  • pickled onions
  • pickled jalapeños
  • canned tomatoes
  • fresh herb bundles

We’re keeping the gardening theme alive with the return of Andrew Goldsmith and his Mason Bees.  Andrew is an expert in the field of these amazing pollinators, and this Saturday is a perfect time to load up on resources, view demos and find instructions how to maintain a healthy and thriving mason bee colony.

No garden would be complete without pesky slugs, so the Oregon Slug Trap is back for another Saturday offering non-chemical/pesticide free methods for curtailing slug’s voracious appetites for garden greens.

Find us this Saturday from 10am-2pm in GREEN LOT 1 at Clackamas Community College here in Oregon City

See you at the market!

Book Fair Coming Soon
Our 2nd annual market Book Fair returns on May 16th!  Plan on donating your gently used books on April 4th, 18th, May 2nd or 9th. Books may be donated at our market’s Information Booth. All proceeds will go directly to purchasing supplies for our Power of Produce (POP) Club, helping kids learn, taste, and explore fresh produce with interactive experiences all season long.
Can you believe we only have 2 more markets until our summer season begins? We will kick off the new season on May 2nd at 9am.

Summer Hours Move to 9am–1pm

Beginning Saturday, May 2nd, the Oregon City Farmers Market transitions to new summer hours: 9am–1pm. This change aligns with the start of our weekly summer season and supports a smoother experience for shoppers and vendors. The market will also be running weekly until Christmas with the exception of Thanksgiving weekend!

Why the hours are shifting

  • Better alignment with harvest schedules — Farmers can attend market and return to their farms earlier in the day for crop and animal upkeep
  • Improved comfort and safety — Shorter exposure to midday heat for shoppers, staff, and vendors.
  • Stronger community flow — A 9am start meets the natural rhythm of weekend mornings while keeping the market lively through lunch. We appreciate your support and patience as we make this transition.
