Early Market Closure this Saturday

By 4 July 2024

Shop early this Saturday from 9am-12:30pm

This weekend is going to be HOT so we’re adjusting our market’s operating hours to keep our vendors, staff and customers safe and healthy.

While some vendors are taking the opportunity for a bit of down time or a mini vacation, we have plenty that will be joining us. Now is a great time to pick up nutrient dense and hydrating fruits and veggies, such as berries, cucumbers and cool leafy greens.

Keep your kitchen cool while either grilling first thing in the morning or if you still prefer a hearty dish that offers lots of leftovers or cold cuts (think a roast from Martson Farm for example) plug your crock pot in to reduce heat from the stove.

The first sign of stone fruits is here, such as apricots and peaches, and Kiyokawa Family Orchards is back for its season debut! Grab some brunch and donuts, pair with some iced coffees and enjoy live music by Free Range under our cool trees before the heat arrives.

Find us in GREEN LOT 1 at Clackamas Community College here in Oregon City (located off the corner of S Beavercreek Rd and Clairmont Drive)

Come and support our local growers and makers!

Simple meals are key this week. In addition to our farm’s fresh fruits and vegetables, Lady Lane will have their delicious cheese curds. Pair with some amazing bread from Not Bread, smoked salmon from Dank Fish, nuts from Pilgrim’s Roasted or Squirrelly Jane and salami from Campfire Farms for an easy charcuterie platter. Don’t forget cookies from Drea’s Bad Ass cookies or Small Baking Company!
In addition to the delicious hazelnuts Squirrelly Jane’s grow, did you know they also grow peaches? If you haven’t tasted them, you’re missing out. This Saturday Mary Clair is bringing her first harvest of Candor peaches.

The Candor variety is an excellent eater! Tree ripened and super sweet. Candor is a similar cling; they tend to split pit and are difficult to can. However, they’re very flavorful, and you can slice them off the pit for freezing.

Grown using “regenerative organic” techniques, Squirrelly Jane Farm focuses on feeding the tree ideal nutrition and using predator pests as primary control. Very little organic fungicide is used, and no herbicides or pesticides (organic or conventional) are added.

Your ice chest will thank you. 503 Distilling is back with their refreshing summer cocktails. You can also find Freeland Spirits, Aimsir Distilling and Drop Shop on Saturday if you fancy crafting some easy summer beverages.
