Drive Thru Market Take 2!

By 15 April 2020

We are sending our customers a big dose of gratitude this week. You were all awesome driving thru the market last Saturday, despite there being a 45 min wait at one point! We are making a few small changes to the vendor map and layout this week which should speed things this week.

What we are asking of customers to help speed up the process: 1) Try and come after noon (if possible) if you are just picking up pre-orders . 2) Have a piece of paper with your full name by your drivers side window so vendors can quickly pull your orders. 3) Have the back of your vehicle open before entering site for quick loading of products. 4) Have a list of vendors you have ordered from. 5) If you don’t see a vendor you have ordered from set up- we will have your pre-order at the Market Booth (with flags) at the end of the line of vendors. 6) If you have picked up all your pre-orders or wish to drive to other side of market please use the outside lane (yes there are two lanes!) Drive slowly and carefully to bypass the vehicles in front of you. 7) If you are a SNAP customer you will find the Info Booth at the beginning of the line of vendors this week (not at the end). It will be clearly marked so please stop and use your SNAP Card to purchase SNAP tokens and receive your DUFB coupons, then use them at the vendors booths to pay as usual. 8) Please keep conversation to short pleasantries to keep the line moving or come later in the day (noon till 2pm) if you wish to chat longer with vendors (and who doesn’t!).

The Market will: 1) Be lining up vehicles in two lanes at the start and guide one vehicle at a time (the zipper line!) into the site. That way we can keep Kaen Rd free from congestion. 2) Have more signage out to explain this and other measures to keep you safe! 3) Have several happy smiling faces to make your experience a good one:)

Vendors :want to thank you for your amazing support and for the tons of pre-orders they received last week and for the many they have already received this week! …keep ’em coming! Cut off for most vendors is 11pm Thursday so don’t delay. Tip: For the best selection order on a Tuesday for the following Saturday. More vendors will be joining us and they will also be listed on the mobile app: http://onelink.to/5wfazg

News: This week we have Pheasants Eye Farm joining us with asparagus! Squirrely Jane will have a new product…organic dried pears and organic hazelnuts tossed in organic sunflower oil with pink Himalayan salt in a delicious pack. Trail Distilling will be there on Saturday. They have their own pre-order https://www.traildistilling.com/ or purchase at the Market. Robin with Wild Oregon Seafood wants you to text or call 503-591-7795 for pre-orders as she is not listed on the mobile app. Good deeds are being done by our vendors. Landia Skin care has sent 100 pots of their Shea Butter to front line health workers and Cafe de Crepe is cooking delicious crepes for healthcare workers in PDX. If you need nourishing cream for your over-washed hands (or fab skin care in general) Landia is on our app and waiting for your orders! Drive thru, collect your shopping and pick up a pre-ordered crepe or two on your way out. Your support right now is crucial to our vendors and so far you have done them proud. Thanks you SO much!

Yes, there will be additional products for sale, not just pre-orders, but please make your purchases promptly and offer vendors a card as payment if possible. From us all at the Market, Jackie, Jess and Barb we appreciate your patience and love seeing your smiling faces! If you are on Facebook or Instagram please help us out and share our posts, we want to keep our market thriving. Cheers.
