Asparagus Season Begins

By 11 April 2024

Spring has sprung at the market!

It’s been exciting to watch the birth of new growth in our farmer’s fields and greenhouses. The good news is RJ Farms will have their first harvest of Asparagus available at the market this week. Needless to say, it will go quickly! Not to worry, Art and Stacey will have plenty more at our next market on April 27th. As a reminder, RJ Farms produce are all grown without sprays and pesticides!

Before long we will be welcoming the first harvests of Sugar Snap Peas, Garlic Scapes and Rhubarb. All of these bright flavors will be a welcome respite after a winter of storage crops!

It’s going to be a beautiful weekend for some gardening for plant enthusiasts. Make sure to visit Sun Love FarmMaggy’s Farm, Wiggle Way Farm and Green Seed Nursery for your plant starts. Also, SNAP recipients can use Double Up Food Bucks and Produce Match coupons for veggie and herb starts!

Maggy’s Farm will have a double booth space thanks to their prolific starts of Hood and Seascapes strawberries, plus greens and herbs.

We will lots of fresh spring produce, farm direct groceries and artisan goods. It’s going to be a beautiful day at the market and we can’t wait to share it with you!

See you from 10am-2pm in GREEN LOT 1 at Clackamas Community College here in Oregon City.

We are a few short weeks away from summer season! Make sure to stop by our Information Booth and pick up one of our bookmarks. A reminder we will begin opening at 9am on May 4th!
We’re thrilled to welcome back Green Seed Nursery this Saturday. Find Certified Naturally Grown perennials and plant starts. Owners Austin and Emily Booth offer tremendous planting advice, knowledge and resources to make your gardens shine!
