National Farmers Market Week is coming to a close. We are grateful for all the ways Oregon City Farmers Market provides opportunities to:

SHOP! Providing access to fresh, local food for all is a priority at the market. Shoppers are encouraged to use their SNAP card, Double Up Food Bucks match and WIC vouchers to purchase delicious, farm-fresh food directly from our local farmers.

CONNECT! Here at the market, we’re all about the people. Each week, our market offers engaging programs such as our Power of Produce Club, our Field to Fork Learning Kitchen, live music, community groups, OSU Master Gardeners and OSU Extension where folks can gather to not only participate in activities but build friendships.

LEARN! Here at the market, you can enjoy our Field to Fork learning kitchen on the first and third Saturdays during summer season. We aim to provide our community with info and skills to inspire the way they prepare, cook, and enjoy the delicious food they find here at market! Our Power of Produce Program for 5–12-year-olds shares learning activities and tokens to purchase fresh produce.

EAT! Our market’s growers offer culturally relevant foods, unique varieties, new flavors, seasonality, and produce grown and raised within a small radius of our market.

We hope you will join us at the market this Saturday to shop, connect, learn and support your local growers and makers. Thank you for being a part of this vibrant community. We couldn’t have a market without you!

We are located on the campus of Clackamas Community College’s GREEN LOT 1 here in Oregon City from 9am-2pm.

See you at the market!

POP CLUB FUN:

This week our Pop Kids are going to be working together to create our very first Pop Club Banner! Each kiddo will have the chance to decorate a pennant flag of their own to hang all together for the rest of this Pop summer season.

This Saturday is the final day of National Farmers Market week, and we thought what better way to end with a bang than making a visual representation of our amazing Pop Club community!

We’ll have all the supplies to make something really special, including potato stamps carved from our market potatoes! Make sure you come by to celebrate!

MEET OSU MASTER PRESERVERS THIS SATURDAY‘Tis the time to savor and preserve the season. Looking for some guidance?

Whether you are new to home canning or an experienced vet, it is important to use tested recipes and follow research-based techniques to ensure that your final product is safe to eat.

Come by the OSU Extension booth located next to the Information booth and speak with the Master Food Preserver volunteers. We will answer your questions, recommend resources, and set you up for success.
