The market is open this Saturday!

It’s hard to believe we’re at the end of March. Summer season will be here before you know it. In the meantime, this Saturday is Kiyokawa Orchards‘ last appearance until they return with stone fruits in July. Be sure to stock up on apples, cider, and pears, and remember to keep them in cool storage for longer preservation.

La Provence Bakery and Das My Jam are back this week, along with Broken Gate Farm with cane berry and strawberry plant starts. Earthly Harvest will return with plenty of fresh eggs and loads of spring produce such as radishes and purple sprouting broccoli are brightening farmers’ stalls.

Don’t forget those spring plant starts. Maggy’s Farm will continue to add inventory as the season progresses. You can now find plenty of lettuce, peas, herbs, and more.

Some have inquired whether or not Squirrelly Jane Hazelnuts will be at the market on Saturday. Originally, they were scheduled off, but we are happy to report they are planning to attend!

We are still accepting book donations in preparation for our Power of Produce Book Fair on April 26th. All proceeds will fund POP’s weekly activities for kids ages 5-12.

Join us this Saturday, March 29th, from 10am-2pm at Clackamas Community College’s GREEN LOT 1 in Oregon City.

See you soon!

VENDOR SPOTLIGHT:

Every winter, we get excited because Hot Mama Salsa returns to the market. Nikki Guerrero creates small-batch, handmade salsas, hot sauces, chili oils, and gluten-free white corn tortilla chips that deserve all the food awards.

Inspired by family recipes, each batch of salsa celebrates authentic flavors and unique pepper varieties using locally grown ingredients from area farms. Be sure to sample their rotating Salsa of the Week flavor as well.

You can find Hot Mama Salsa this Saturday and at the remaining winter market dates!
