Here we go again!

By 3 May 2018

                 Now open at 9am!

Welcome back to the 14th opening of the summer market this Saturday!  80+ new and returning vendors will be cycling through the season providing a great mix of products. Don’t see your fave vendor this week? Chances are they are on their way. Spring was cold, local vegetables and fruit are just slowly getting going. Expect to see much more variety on the tables towards the end of the month. Meanwhile ‘eat your greens’…because there will be plenty of them! Berries are ripening in the hoop houses, we may see some next week even. Eating seasonally makes us get creative, so stop by the Market Kitchen this season and watch Chefs Amy and Deborah prepare market products each day 10am-Noon. Some of our fab farmers and vendors will be making guest appearances in the kitchen too this summer, which will most certainly be entertaining and you’ll hear all about their products!

                  Grano Bakery is Back!

So happy to have back the following vendors: Grano Bakery, JK Goats, Clean Slate Suds (it’s been a while!), Spice Pilgrim, Mays Produce, Hilltree Farm, Coyote Ridge Farm, Leone’s Farm, Parsons Farm, Sew Silly, S. Barlow Pretzels…and many more. Several of these farms will be starting once the berries are ripe..fyi. New this week is Mic’s Mix with Gluten-Free Flour Blend, so you can easily bake your own GF food! Continuing on from the winter season are all the year-round regulars…for a full list go to our web site, orcityfarmersmarket.com.

A million choices of tomato plants this week (well not quite!)from Sun Love Farm and Maggys Farm.  Both farms are Certified Naturally Grown.

The Master Recyclers will be on hand to suggest ways to reduce food waste and check out Building Blocks For Life, this homegrown non-profit does terrific work for kids! https://www.bb4kids.org/
