Halloween Fun!

By 26 October 2017

We’ve waited a REALLY long time to have such a perfect day for the last market of the summer season! All the beautiful fall produce and flowers will be just ‘popping’ with color…it’s going to be a great day for photo opps!

Vote for your favorite vendor costume and booth decorations (vendors win a free space at the market) , bring the kids and Trick or Treat…..AND the OSU Extension 4H clubs will have face painting!

If you are late carving pumpkins for the big night next Tuesday…or if they have already started to rot with the warm weather, we have you covered! RJ Farms is bringing in a whole trailer of pumpkins at a GREAT prices, plus Leones farm will have some too. Halloween is the one holiday you can eat the decorations!

This might be the last “summer’ market, but we roll right into the “winter’ season without missing a weekend. Saturday November 4th is the start of our 8th winter market (10am-2pm) and most of our vendors are sticking with us. New vendors are joining too and some who have been missing this summer are returning for a terrific mix of products. Fingers crossed it’s a drier winter than last year! Stay posted for more information on the winter vendors next week. If you don’t already have a schedule for this every-other weekend winter season, be sure to pick one up at the Info Booth for your fridge.

…and remember as we head into the ‘giving’ season, your farmers market is a 501c3 non-profit and we gladly accept cash or in-kind donations to keep our programs going, programs that have so much benefit for the community. The SNAP Match program assists low-income seniors and young families with healthy food purchases https://orcityfarmersmarket.com/using-snap-cards-market/, and the Power Of Produce Club introduces kids to good food and healthy nutrition https://orcityfarmersmarket.com/pop-club/ We would love to give YOU a tax-deductible receipt!
