It’s that time of the summer when the stone fruit have arrived and yes, while eating them fresh is great, you can cook ’em too! Chef Deborah will be grilling peaches this Saturday, drizzling them with raspberry sauce, or cajeta, adding a scope of fresh creamy chevre…ummm you’ll have to stop by the Market kitchen and try some! Pick up a recipe too.

Summer goodness is in the Market in spadefuls! Tomatoes are now arriving, along with the cukes, pickling cukes, padron peppers,beans and zucchini. It’s time to look out those preserving recipes and buy extra to put up for the winter. The Master Food Preservers will be back on Aug. 16th, bring your questions! Stop by the Info Booth , we now have recipes to share with you from the Market Kitchen demos.

2015-08-01 10.51.04Back in the Market this week: Utopia Woodcrafters with beautifully-crafted Adirondak chairs, bat houses and mason bee houses, Pholx and Figwort with incense and smudges, Hill Tree Garden with fresh flowers, Cada Dia with raw milk cheddar cheese, Karla’s Green Glass with birdbaths, Me Bug and Bernice with felted wool dryer balls and soap pods! Out is Wild Oregon, Petal Heads and Daisy Fed.  Next week S&K Nursery are taking time off so get your hanging baskets and plants this week. Yes, everyone needs a summer break:)  Starting next week we have two new exciting vendors…stay posted! Scratch Meats are down a worker and can long continue this summer, we hope to get them back in the Winter!

Kids can join the POP (Power of Produce) Club for free (ages 5 years-12 years), and get $2 every time they come to market!
