Closing 1 hour early this week!
Due to the excessive heat warning we are closing at 1pm on June 4th. We’ll open promptly at 9 am so you can stock up on local lushous ripe berries, cherries and fresh veggies this Saturday. Strawberries, raspberries, loganberries, gooseberries…..even blueberries are now being picked. The berry season’s early this year but with the unusual weather fluctuations , may be shorter,( especially for the spring strawberries) Don’t delay if you want flats for freezing or jam, come early …..and bring your water bottles and coolers!
Pick up something for the BBQ…you won’t want to cook indoors this weekend. Birkeland Farms has grass-fed and finished beef and chicken (including chicken in pieces), Scratch Meats and Shy Ann Meats have hand-made sausages and Wild Oregon will be bringing salmon, razor clams, shrimp and more seafood. Stop by the Market Kitchen , Chef Deborah will be making an easy market salad using berries, bacon and granola for the toppings! Pick up this week’s recipe …..and last week’s too.
Several new vendors are joining the Market this summer and Saturday we welcome Me Bug and Bernice (Wool felted dryer balls and soap), and Sew Silly ( returning from last year with lots of fabric goodies!) Looking early for gifts for Dad? Parts to Art will have amazing recycled metal art and Stone Barn Rustics will have very cute art from recycled wood (including Oregon plaques made from old fence boards).
This week the POP Club kids will be planting Arugula in the POP Club FUN booth and live music will be performed by market fave Mark Seymour. We’ll have plenty of cold drinks, spray bottles to spritz you with …….join us for breakfast or an early lunch, listen to some tunes in the shade and leave with a fresh fruit smoothie from the Fresh Start Cart!
