The Market this week will have plenty of fresh produce from 4 local farms, pastured meats, farm eggs (including duck eggs from Sun Love farms and hens eggs from RJ Farms and Caldwell Farms..and new this week, truffled eggs from Caldwell Farm), aged Jersey milk cheddar cheese, wild mushrooms and lots of Oregon seafood, let alone all the delicious baked goods, local wines from two wineries (Kings Raven Winery…and joining us this week, Forest Edge Vineyards!), preserves, jams, pickles, honey, nut butters, sauerkraut, hummus, and fresh roasted coffee beans.

20160109_111850Birkeland Farm (Beavercreek) has homemade, frozen long simmered beef and chicken Bone Broth, Creamy Butternut Squash Soup and Minestrone Soup. Pick up a tub or two of soup for the weekend dinners. All the soups are made with homemade broth, $7 ea/ $6 if you purchase 2 or more. Try Lynn’s hot samples! She also has barn-raised Chickens fed non GMO feed, $4/lb, whole chickens, frozen.

Heart's Desire OCFMPlus you’ll find the fun stuff like Daisy Fed’s creative soaps (ready for Valentines Day), JK Goats lotions and soaps, Ess organic skin care, Haute natural candles, Spindle and Fibers AND the Earth That Gives wood products. And, great HOT food from Sara’s Tamales and fab. sausage sandwiches (frozen packs too) from Scratch Meats.
The farmers will have lots of greens (cabbage, spinach, kale etc), root veggies and winter squash, and also salad greens, radishes, mustards, mizuna and miners lettuce. Yup, you can still make salads and slaws in the depths of winter! Deck Family Farm is BACK this week…with pasture-raised certified Organic beef, pork, chicken and lamb. They have an AMazing deal on lamb right now:  Spring Lamb Rib Chops $5.00 per package (2 per pack) and $1.00 per pound for lamb bones!!! You can ask them about their dairy herd-share. Wild Oregon Seafood will have local crab, cooked or live , live mussels, steamer and RAZOR clams! Plus fresh Steelhead, smoked Chinook and Albacore. Robin will have frozen tuna loin..and more!

We’re busy planning this summer’s events, lining up musicians, booking chefs to demo market foods and planning kids activities. If you’d like to help us this coming summer season, we can always do with more hands…it takes a village! The market accepts cash, debit, EBT (SNAP) and P-EBT cards. WIC and Senior Farm Direct checks are accepted by all produce vendors and expire on Nov 30th each year. Stop by our information booth for information.
