Fall colors and flavors everywhere!

This is the time of year that we all love. The air is crisp…and damp…. wood smoke just detected in the air some mornings…and we’ve got our layers on! The leaf colors are coming out and so is the fall produce while the summer produce is peaking. Whether you are looking for a pumpkin to carve, a fall-colored bunch of flowers, a nice chunk of meat to roast , apple cider…or gorgeous fresh produce …..we will have it!

Last day for The Underground Worm Connection….so stock up with worm castings , dig them into the compost pile or your raised beds and get your garden to work for you during the winter! The Green Corp Youth Farm have native plants for sale now (donated by Bosky Dell Natives  West Linn,  as a fundraiser for their farm program) and Spring Creek Nursery has sweet Pansies to brighten your garden or fall planters and plenty of Veggie Plants starts.

The Kids POP Club Fun activity this Saturday is Wheat-Grinding…..and pancake-eating! (The kids grind the wheat by riding a stationary bike) The wheat is being donated by our friends at Bob’s Red Mill….who also have a treat for the POP Club kids this week! AND we are giving away free tickets to the Krayon Kids Camp Itchabite show coming up in November http://www.krayonkids.org/…one per household at the POP Club booth.

Live music, hot food and drinks…wrap up, bring your friends and have a morning at the Market! Next week (last week for the “summer” market) kids get to Trick or Treat and you get to vote for the best vendor costume!

Downtown Winter Market opening Saturday Nov. 3rd on 8th St at 10-2. We are then open every 1st and 3rd Sat. of the month at that location, Nov. through April…with an extra Holiday Market Dec. 22nd! Pick up a Winter Market Bookmark Schedule at the Info. Booth.    Downtown is looking great and there is easy, free parking down there on a Saturday.   Support our local businesses and shop local this holiday season!
