Another lovely Wednesday afternoon coming up…spend it at your small but mighty mid-week Farmers Market! Food Forest Farms will be offering samples of their delectable and versatile Italian and breakfast sausages, and selling their succulent pork and duck too, including pork belly for curing your own bacon! In addition they will have garlic scapes, kale, salad mix, fresh herbs, vegetable, herb & flower starts, quince jam , eggs and Shiso Soap.
White Star Farm will have their regular selection of beautiful healthy greens including lettuce mix,kale mix,chard and radishes. They will also have snow peas, along with snap and shelling peas too. Perfect for salads and stir fries, but best eaten fresh as a healthy snack.
Shy Ann Meats will be bringing smoked chops, bacon, cottage bacon, pepperoni, sausages and a special item this week: Boudin Blanc, a medium-spicy Creole pork and rice sausage, very popular across the Gulf states of the South…I bet you can get a sample!
Back this week is Schmidts Body Care line…safe and effective for the whole family, Jaimie’s products are full of natural ingredients, including the wonderful gentle but effective deodorant and sunscreen. Try her lotions too, really nourishing with lovely scents!
We’ll have loads of berries too, including strawberries AND raspberries, from 3 farms plus rhubarb, fresh flowers, local wines, hummus and pita, fresh fruit smoothies , iced coffee, small batch preserves and pastries, breads…from Big Foot Bread, La Provence is out this week, back next.
Live music is by Daniel Cecil…..local musician playing mellow folk and pop faves, with some originals. Nice…on a warm afternoon! We’ll be set up in Downtown Oregon City, on 8th St at Main, 3pm -7pm. We have $5 in Matching funds for the Oregon Trail Card shoppers and $2 for the POP Club kids (ages 5-12).. .parking is easy after 5pm in Busch’s Furniture Store parking lot…or park up on the bluff and ride the elevator down!
