Wednesday Market…and all things “green” THIS Saturday!

The second Wednesday Market opens at 3pm tomorrow and runs till 7pm on 8th St at Main , downtown Oregon City! 15 vendors with loads of gorgeous berries of course!…and this week, White Star Farms will have arugula, kale, chard, lettuce, radishes, peas…healthy greens for your family’s salads and side dishes. If you haven’t tried their convenient rinsed, bagged greens, get on board and give them a go! If you don’t know how to prepare kale, chard and arugula, ask Sharon for some simple prep ideas. They will have plant starts as well for your summer garden including herbs, lettuce, peppers, and kale. Parsons Farms, Family Table Farm and Albeke Farms will all have fresh produce too and Food Forest Farm will have pork and duck and quince jam.

South Barlow Berries are bringing (apart from their berries) Russian pastries , some with strawberry and some with potato filling. Shy Ann Meats will be sampling their cured pork products (delicious sausages, bacon and smoked pork chops…yum!) and Hummus Stop will have their many different varieties of hummus, salads…and addictive pita chips! La Provence Bakery from Lake Oswego will have their European-style breads and pastries, plus Diana’s Delights will have jams, lemon curd, chutneys, relishes and rugelach pastries. C and K Flower Farm are bringing freshly cut flowers to make into bouquets for you to brighten up your mid-week! Kings Raven have wine by the glass…relax and listen to Kevin Shay Johnson, playing tunes from 3-6.  Park up on the bluff and ride the elevator down….or arrive at 5pm and park for free behind our neighbors Busch’s Furniture Store! We accept Debit and OR. Trail cards with a $5 match! The POP Club continues at this market too with a free shopping bag, Passport to Health , a button and $2 in wooden tokens to spend on fresh fruits and veggies…. every time kids (ages 5-12) come to either summer market!

Coming up THIS Saturday is our Market’s GREEN FAIR…80+ vendors, free raffle, give-a-ways and tons of information on “green living”…workshops, cooking demos too!  Make sure you stop by the Market this Saturday in the parking lot of the County’s Public Services Building 2051, Kaen Rd, off Beavercreek Rd.
